If you have been following my Facebook or Instagram, you might have seen this photo.
I name this photo “Boss” obviously because of the cigar which make him look “like a boss”. This senior pug’s name is Baby. He is just a sweet pug and is not a thug.I have been doing pet photography in Singapore for some time already and I really love dogs despite being bitten by them before. What I want to talk about today is to clear the air about this photo. There are some who accused me of animal abuse (which I take it as a compliment because the photo looks too real). There are some who asked me what I put in his mouth while I was doing the shoot. Well, the photo was accomplished by Photoshop without any harm done to the pug.
This is a gif of what I did to the photo.
First I had to liqufy his mouth so that it looks like he is biting the cigar. Then I placed the cigar in, change the tone, color as well as the light direction. Finally, I added in the smoke. It may sound simply but it took me quite some time to finish editing the photo.
There you go, no harm was done to the pug. It was a fun project which I really enjoy. I even got this photo printed on metal.
